She has worked for many years in a well-known IP legal service team in China.
Ms. Zhong has provided perennial legal consultancy services for several well-known game and media companies, assisting clients in handling IP-related platform complaints and lawsuits. She has also helped many clients manage IP ownership and infringement disputes involving employees. Ms. Zhong is particularly skilled in offering protection strategies and solutions from various perspectives, including copyright, trademark, and unfair competition. She has successfully represented multiple game companies in rights protection litigation.
Additionally, Ms. Zhong holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Technology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. ● Represented a well-known game company in initiating a series of copyright and trademark infringement lawsuits related to its popular game’s merchandise. This led to a mass settlement on the basis of individual case victories.
● Represented a local enterprise in responding to a trademark infringement and unfair competition lawsuit initiated by a foreign company. During the defense, proposed a strategy to initiate a "three-year non-use cancellation" procedure for the trademark, leading to a low-cost settlement with the plaintiff.
● Represented a publicly listed game company in a lawsuit against a domestic real estate company's theme park development for allegedly infringing on its game trademark, resulting in a favorable judgment.
● Represented a publicly listed game company in lawsuits against several games for copyright infringement and unfair competition. This case was selected as one of the "Top 10 Influential New Entertainment Cases in China 2022" and recognized as a "Typical Case of Intellectual Property Judicial Protection in the Film and Television Industry by Shanghai Courts."
● Represented a well-known board game publisher in a copyright infringement and unfair competition lawsuit against an allegedly infringing board game. This case was selected as one of the "Top 10 Influential New Entertainment Cases in China 2023."
● Represented a publicly listed game company in a copyright infringement and unfair competition lawsuit against a murder mystery game allegedly infringing its S-tier IP. This case was selected as one of the "Top 10 Most Research-Value Intellectual Property Judgments in China 2023" and a "Typical Case of Intellectual Property Judicial Service Guarantee for High-Quality Development of New Productive Forces by Pudong New Area People's Court."
● Represented a technology company in a litigation case over a computer software development contract dispute with another technology company, successfully obtaining a judgment for the return of the full initial development payment and compensation for related losses.
● Represented a well-known game company in a lawsuit over a computer software development contract dispute concerning an adaptation of a famous IP. During the proceedings, the parties reached a settlement for a project valued over a hundred million RMB.
