2024年12月25日，十四届全国人大常委会第十三次会议表决通过关于修改《中华人民共和国监察法》的决定（修订前简称“原《监察法》”，修订后简称“新《监察法》”），自2025年6月1日起施行。本次修改系《监察法》自2018年3月20日发布以来的首次修订，修订内容主要涉及调整监察程序（延长留置期限、增加监察措施、明确延期及不同监察措施适用的条件和审批程序等）、强化监察机关（以下简称“监委”）自身建设、保障被调查人权利等内容。
